I just registered for prepared childbirth and infant CPR. $240! Hopefully well worth it, I think my insurance will reimburse us $100. Have you signed up? What classes? How much was it?

That is expensive!!! Mine was only $60 for prepared childbirth, breastfeeding/infant feeding, and a new parent class. I am already CPR certified for infants, children, and adults. I hope your classes are worth the money!!!

I signed up for Bradley and thank goodness I looked into it when I did. I was going to put it off til closer to due date but the class I needed was already almost booked up! Excited to get started.
Not yet, but it was suggested by my hospital and OB to register this month. The hospital birthing class costs $175 and any additional classes we want to take are another $75 a pop. Ouch.
A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for you keep. Hold on to your dreams and someday your rainbow will come shining through. No matter how your heart is bleeding if you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true. - Cinderella
I'm a 2TM but I am taking Bradley classes.. it's 12 weeks and we are 2 weeks in so I'll be done about 5 weeks before I'm due but it was either that or finish the class a week after my EDD
With my first I took 2 hospital classes (breastfeeding & infant care). I think it was only like $80 though

Yes! We signed up at the hospital we will deliver at and it cost $75. The class covers birth, breast feeding, and infant care. It's all day on Saturday 9/17!
Yes, my MD recommended that I sign up last month. I'm taking a child birth class ($90), a breastfeeding basics class ($30), and a baby basics class ($40). For a total of three classes for $160! Sounds like a deal to me. I seriously doubt my insurance will reimburse me, though.
I'm all signed up for my Bradley class - which starts this weekend (12 weeks total). I went to sign up for a breastfeeding and an infant cpr class and i can't find any breastfeeding ones on my hospital site, don't know if they got filled up or canceled? They were only one day sessions... Guess I'll keep checking.

I signed up in August for classes both this month and next. My hospital offers a full day childbirth class and then 2 hour classes on breastfeeding, infant CPR and basic infant care. The cost for all 4 classes came to $150. We have also signed up for the 12 weeks Bradley Method Classes.
I have my request in the mail to sign up for the Preparing childbirth class. Nothing is free where I live so just that class alone is $160 at the hospital I'm delivering in.
I actually just called this morning to get more information. The childbirth classes are $150 and it includes a baby care basics course. I also found out that I will get a breastfeeding consultation free since I am delivering at the same hospital that the classes are offered at. I am undecided about the breastfeeding preparation class but they are $30. I plan on signing up for the October classes.
We're not taking any childbirth classes because they are all about $100+
This! My MIL who was an OB nurse said many of the classes are fluff, and when thne time comes your mind kind of goes blank. She advised us to not spend the money on it.
I'm not putting anyone down for taking them, but we have opted not to.
My MW has one required in her office on a Saturday as part of our fee. I am thinking of just buying the material and doing Bradley method at home. With my work schedule I'd never be able to do 12 weeks and I don't want to pay for something I'd only attend half the time. Plus my husband is more of a self learner then in large groups, he gets uncomfortable. Hopefully doing it on our own will be just as good as in class.
I wish we could afford a hypnobirthing class, but I did sign up for the childbirth education class at the birth center where I'm delivering. They charge $80 for first timers and $30 for a refresher class.
