Cloth Diapering

I'm going to assume that now that one of my wetbags gets 'damp'

on the outside (inside = PUL that LOOKS ok, outside = cloth), that the seams are bad and it's not really fixable, right?

Would it be worthwhile for me to open the cloth, re-sew the PUL together, iron it to 'seal' it, re-sew the cloth and hope for the best?  Or are my odds of success really low?  (because I don't really want to do that much work.  But I also don't want to buy another bag--this was planetwise and is only 10 months old or so)
