What size diaper were they wearing at 3 months? I can't remember with DS because we mostly did cloth for the first 6 months with him. I am trying to take advantage of some diaper deals and buy before I go on ML. DS was 8lbs. 14oz at birth and always on the large end of the spectrum.

At 3 months my daughter was barely squeezing into her size 2 diapers. She has always been on the short chubby side (95th for weight and 30th for height). She is in size 3's right now (4 at night). She is about 16.5 pounds and 26 inches (she was born 20 inches and 8 pounds).

She was in a size 2 during the day, but quickly moving towards a size 3. She wore size 3 at night.

DS was 17 pounds at his 2 month appointment and I believe we already had him in size 3 diapers. He's 3 months and a week now and still in size 3.

Don't plan your 2nd child around what your first child was like.

My first was 10lbs. He was in 9 month clothes by 3 months, and 12 month clothes by 6 months.

When I was pregnant with my 2nd, they told me by ultrasound to prepare for another big baby. So I did. I stocked up on larger size diapers/clothes.

Baby came out at 7lbs 14oz, was in NB sized clothes/diapers still at 3 months old. All the 6-9 month stuff people bought I still havent used. Heck, at almost 8 months LO is still in 0-3 and is just getting unto some 3-6 stuff.

DS has been in size 3 since 2.5 months old. He was 14lbs and some change at 2 months, and 18lbs 4oz at 4. I'm sure he's over 20 now at just shy of 6months.

8lbs is small compared to by large man who was 10lbs 3oz. He is currently 2 months and weighs about 16lbs. He is now in size 3 diapers. We started off with size 1, not newborns. I would buy a small package of newborns and then size one. You can always fold the top over.
