I read that Mercy hospital won the best of Baltimore best place to have a baby in city paper. Then I looked closely and saw that was back in 2008, and haven't seen any updated lists. Anyone have any recommendations?
Your probably going to get several recommendations for different hospital in the area. I delivered my DD at Franklin Square Hospital and had a great experience. I plan to go back when we have baby #2.
I had a wonderful birth experience at Sinai. I was hesitant at first but my nurse and the midwives who assisted my Dr. with the birth were amazing. They helped keep me calm during an otherwise crazy/chaotic final hour of labor.
The food is really good there, too! You can order from a menu any time of day!
Any OB recommendations? I found one dr office that only delivers at Sinai. Who delivers at St joes?
I LOVE Capital Women's Care at St. Joseph. You don't get to pick who delivers your baby but you meet all the Dr's and they are all fantastic. I originally went to the Perinatal Center at GBMC and am so glad I made the switch early on. St. Joseph's has a great hospital, and everyone we have come in contact with has been super friendly. I'm very excited to give birth there..

I loved Mercy and wouldn't deliver anywhere else. Their new hospital building is AMAZING!
The staff from the bottom up are all kind, dedicated and really supportive.
