Clothing Brands?

Carter's fits LO really well, but I think we already have onesies in every pattern they make but I'd still like to pick up a few more Embarrassed What other brands are good? Circo fits LO okay but they tend to be a little short on him. I've heard mixed reviews on Gerber but I don't remember why they might not be good...?

Re: Clothing Brands?

  • Gerber runs small, really small.  Kohls has a Jumping Bean's brand that is pretty good quality and great price, we got quite a few long sleve onesies when J was still in those sizes.  I HATE the Circo brand, bought 3 different shirts that tore within the first 2 wears, not a fan.

  • Definitely stay away from Gerber, I hated their onesies. How about Old Navy? Sometimes you can find great deals. I've been getting lots of coupons in the mail lately. I also like Jumping Bean at Kohls. Circo fits A pretty well, so we buy a lot from Target too.

  • I like Circo and Jumping Beans; Target also has their own Carter brand called "just one year"

JCPenny's Okie Dokie is pretty cute too and about on par w/ Jumping Beans in style and quality.  Gerber is OK, but its not well made, but it is ridic cheap.

Carter's comes out w/ new designs CONSTANTLY so you can keep stocking up.

  • I always liked Carters the best. Another fave was Gymboree, although that place is usually too $$$. However my cousin gave me a ton of her son's Gymboree stuff so that was nice.

  • oh - and also - get stuff used.  Goodwill has kids clothes for 1.75/piece and Once Upon a Child sells it for 2-3/piece.

  • I love Carters!  I don't make it over to Kohl's enough, but the few Jumping Bean pieces I have bought I have really liked and have lasted a good while!

Gap and Old Navy I have had success with their tops!  I like how they do the inbetween sizes 18/24 mo. etc.

     Circo is pretty good too...

Okie Dokie from JCP - I like their stretch waist band pants, but the tops I find to be restrictive, not soft, shrinks easily, etc.  The few OD tops I have for LO are usually his backup outfits at daycare Embarrassed

  • I think everyone has covered my standards. I like the Cherokee brand at Target, but I don't know if they do boys. Sorry, I don't really know how boy sizes run, but I am constantly disappointed that Gymboree tops are too short and pants too wide for Sophia. She is small on the bottom and very long on the top. But, even given that, if I go up a size things don't fit her right, which makes me think their shirts run short and their pants run wide.

  • I really didn't have a problem with the Gerber ones I just bought a size up.  I bought them whenever they were on sale and threw them away if they got stained or ratty looking.
