Welcome Back, 1st Tri

It seems as though the 32 week milestone was the calling card for a resurgence of first tri symptoms. I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open for the majority of the work day and all of the sudden morning sickness is back with a vengeance. I should have reveled in the awesomeness of second tri, because I kind of forgot how much it sucks to feel nauseous all day. Dr. Google tells me this is pretty much par for the course, but second time moms or anyone with advice - does this stick around through delivery or does it typically pass when the hormones level out again?

  • This happened to me last week, and this week I feel better (hopefully it stays that way!) Except for food aversions - those are still around. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you! I'm glad yours wore off quickly - it's giving me hope! Smile

  • I had the same problem but have been feeling a lot better recently.  The fatigue and soreness of stuck around, but I got over the nausea and feeling like I was so tired I couldn't do my job.  There's hope! I've been feeling pretty good the last few days.

    This...

Also, I find that the more tired I am, the more queasy I am...and I have also found that with my belly getting bigger I cannot eat as much at one sitting so I am hungry again really fast...I have been making sure to eat before I get that hungry/queasy feeling.

And remember to rest as much as possible. I did a big shopping trip on Saturday and felt so exhausted and sick to my stomach that I barely left the couch on Sunday. Monday I was more back to normal and while I did more shopping/nesting in the nursery, I also made sure to rest more and didn't wipe myself out.

  • This happened to me over the weekend at 33.5 wks.  I barely got out of bed on Sunday, and did only because I had to on Monday morning (but quickly made my way back).  I hope it's not a sign of things to come.  I'm crossing my fingers that it was just a fluke...although some of the symptoms haven't gone away (fatigue, back pain, some nausea).

Hope you feel better soon.  I know it's not fun!

  • OMG thank GOD someone else is feeling this way! I can deal with the soreness and back pain, but when the nausea came back last week i thought I would totally die! And now its mixed happily with indigestion and heartburn so I can't eat a darn thing except chocolate milk and ice cream!
