Play clothes that hold up?

Where do you get play clothes for your LOs? I am over carter's as Theo has put a hole in the knee of two pair of pants the first time he wore them. I just want some decent quality sweats for him and leggings/sweats for Marlo that don't cost a fortune and will last. For girls' sweats do any lines run long and narrow? 12-18 month sweat pants are already like floods on Marlo but I have yet to find an 18-24 that is narrow enough for her. The only pants without adjustable waists that fit her are leggings.

    Our gymboree pants hold up the best IMHO. Riley has wore through a pair that he took a nasty fall in but otherwise they have been the best. I am very lucky my sis's MIL works for them and I get all the handme downs so it doesn't cost us a fortune.

    We have had good luck with Jumping Beans from Khols. I often send him to daycare in them where he plays hard and save his nicer clothes for weekends and what not. They hold up for the whole season and I was able to pack them up for the next baby.

    I agree about Jumping Beans.

    For basics like sweats, layering shirts, stuff to totally make mud pies in and play rough and hard, I LOVE Wonderkids from KMart. They have a good selection of basics and great prices, and their jeans last like no others. Yeah, I know, no one shops at KMart anymore, but go!

    there isn't a kohl's or a kmart where i usually run my errands, but they aren't far so i am going to check them out. thanks!

    Isn't there a Kmart in Penn Station? And I think there is one in Astor Place... I can't think of any others!

    i think those are the only ones in manhattan. i am going to hit up the one on bay parkway in brooklyn on sunday when we go to see my in-laws

    I am also going to ditto Jumping Beans by Kohles. I had NEVER shopped at a Kohles but my MIL does and she sent me a whole slew of things some that I didn't like/werent weather appropriate so I retruned a bunch of stuff and they have SUPER cute cloths. Some are cheesy and I avoid those but otherwise I really like it and the sales you can't beat..

    Also, old navy has some cute stuff and they have sales fairly regurlary..

    If you do go to KMart be sure and check out their shoes too, they hold up really well, and my pedi recommends them for their support.
