I took out some chicken breasts. I could do fajita's, I guess.
I was running late this morning (as usual) and grabbed a can of H's Spaghettio's. I have never had them, and never will again. Ugh. I'm hoping to make it up to my stomach at dinner time.
I just got back into the swing of meal planning so as soon as I saw it was going to be 'chilly' this week (highs in the low 70s, omg!!!) I put chili on there, heh. We're also having fennel, leek & potato soup. Also, leftovers. lol.

I should really start meal planning again, it all went out the window when I went on bedrest. Now look at me, Spaghetti-O's. Do you use a website, or just a regular old spreadsheet. Sometimes its hard, because H is on nights, so I usually will have a bowl of cereal or something. I'm sure he would appreciate it if I had a meal ready for him to heat up more often, and I might not feel so sluggish all the time.
I use the back to plan out what I want to eat, then rearrange it in the best order (if I'm doing anything with avocados, it's within the first couple days, for instance). Then I flip back to the other side and build the list, while I go through my pantry. We also keep a running list on a whiteboard on the fridge (we're running low on yeast and maple syrup!). I also tend to plan a couple meals that are like, 'grilled cheese and veg', and then pick up whatever's on sale or looks good, rather than paying out the ass to buy, say, asparagus right now.
I also always have the sh*t on hand to make up quesadillas or ravioli with marinara for those days when I'm saying "f*ck today" by 11 am.
I'm making this crock pot chicken. It has chicken, salsa, corn, black beans and a block of cream cheese. Then I'm going to add jalapenos to add it and eat with some tortillas and Spanish rice.

LOL Broc, I can def do that. Some people are so serious wit spreadsheets, which is fine....Id prefer pen and paper too.
MrsLynnyD- that sounds delish!!
It totally was...it just needed more sauce. Now the real verdict will come in when my H gets home from school and tries it. He's Eye-Tal-Yun and very critical! (Why he married a Hispanic Pollack is beyond me!)
That was really snotty and I didn't intend to be, bleh. Sorry.
I use pen & paper because I know that if I used an app or spreadsheet I'd get super caught up in the actual program and not, you know, use it for meal planning. I've done it a couple of times. Either there's a ton of customization and I get burned out after I make everything into monospace fonts, or else there's some function that's irritatingly clunky and I last a month, tops.
I do have a bunch of super cool notepads though, not gonna lie.

I didnt take it as snotty at all. Sometimes life gets over compliated, and going the old fashion route is much easier.

Re: WFD?
I think we're having taco soup.
Ugh, spaghetti-os... H used to eat them brokecollege kid style- straight out of the can, no heating or anything. ::gag::
3 bean chili with fritos. I'm putting avocado, red onion, cheese and lots of sour cream on mine.
I ate TONS of spaghettios when I was pregnant. My favorite was the Annie's cheese ravioli though, omg.
Why do you have to have awesome dinners? lol. I might have to go the chili route this week. Sounds yummy!
I think Broccoli needs to make us all dinner...Her posts send me straight to the Grocery store.
I'm not sure what we will do. Last night we had Vietnamese food. It's hard to top that..I'm eating leftovers for lunch..Yumm.
Fajitas sound good though.
I love mashed potatoes and corn, I get off work at 5, what time should I be there? lol
lol, my mom always says the same thing!
