I don't even know if it exists and maybe it's a weird concept but I want a sort of sun screen that covers the sides and font of the carseat (for LOS who are rear facing and have sun pouring in on them). So basically LO would be in a cage lol but I wouldn't have to worry about skin cancer or bright light bothering her eyes and those stupid window screens suck.
Re: Do they make a sun screen for carseat?
Dunno...
I know BRU sells UV covers for strollers. It's kinda like a muslin cover that you throw over the stroller. You can see through it, but it blocks UV rays. Maybe they have one for just a car seat...?

I don't know if they make anything like that and it would worry me that they could get tangled in it or injured in an accident.
I agree the window shades don't do much and my DD hates the sun in her eyes. I don't really worry about skin cancer because the car windows filter a lot of the UV rays.
my read shelf:
amazon sells a car seat sun cover that you tie around a convertable car seat. I have it and it works. I also use in on a stroller for extra protection.
I guess this is what i mean and they do make it! https://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-BabyShade-Circle-Centric/dp/B004K0Q5SM/ref=sr_1_43?ie=UTF8&qid=1314902818&sr=8-43
I got this one but being that I'm still pregnant, I haven't used it yet. I like that it protects from the sun and bugs.

We use a convertible car seat. Now that I'm thinking about it, the things I found probably won't fit it. I think I'm out of luck.
