We've been talking about new daycare for weeks now, but today was real hard for his momma. As soon as she got there, she saw a baby stroller, but she wanted me to go with her, which I did, but as soon as I walked away she started to cry. I thought about staying, but I was worried that would just cause a bigger issue, so I left as soon as I dropped her off. She cried for me. I barely made it to the car, because I started to cry. She's been here for almost an hour. I plan to call a little bit later to see how she's doing. Let's hope this day flies by.
Re: First day of new daycare
I am so sorry. It has to be hard but she will get use to it.

If it makes you feel better, we haven't changed daycare and are in a phase of "mommy don't leave me".
I think it is a really good sign that she calmed down with the director holding her. She wanted to be comforted and was ok with a semi-stranger doing that. She didn't just sit in the corner and hope for no one to touch her.
