As far as I can remember I only had one food aversion that lasted my entire pregnancy with DD. It was my favorite food (chinese food) and just the thought of it made me sick!
This time I had aversions in 1st tri of onion, bacon and red meat (and smoked meats). Well the onion aversion left when 1st tri was over and I can do a little bacon now, if it's in small SMALL doses. But red meat still makes me ill. I've only eaten it a couple of times and it's a struggle each time!
Anyone else have food aversions that are sticking around?
Re: Still having food aversions?
I wish I knew what mine would be from day to day, but I'll cook a meal- look at it and then feel like puking. Current food aversions are cooked broccoli, beef, corn pops, cheerios, eggs, and peaches. I could totally love and be craving a food but by the time it's in front of me- I'm repulsed by it
Last pregnancy it was only broccoli and I had no trouble eating. I guess that's why I'm still down 10 lbs this time around.
W/ DS, it was beef and tomato-based products (but I COULD eat fresh tomatoes) and they hung on for the entire pregnancy. They were also vicious - the smell of anything that fell into those categories was enough to nearly cause me to throw up. I couldn't be around it, couldn't have it in the house, etc. Poor DH!
This time around, it's beans and eggs. Eggs don't bother me as much - I can't picture eating them, but they don't turn my stomach to see them. The thought of beans is enough to turn my stomach, however, and I haven't been brave enough to try seeing them in person. :P DH says these aversions are much more manageable than last time... haha!
... every single day of forever.
