I have a baby shower to attend for a great friend in about a month. She had her little girl a couple of weeks ago. My friend is fit and fabulous and I can guarantee she'll be back in her size 0 clothes by the time I see her and the baby. I, on the other hand, am as large as I have ever been (inlcuding the day before I delivered my son) and I am absolutely dreading attending the shower as the giant fat lady who still has several weeks to go.
I am going to the shower, I can't wait to see my friend and her baby, but I am secretly hoping that the weather (we live about 2.5hours apart) will be so bad I won't be able to make it.
How selfish is that?
