Vashon Island?

Has anyone been to Vashon Island? Are there kid friendly things to do there? DH wants to go there next week on our day off together and neither of us have ever been, wondering if it's worth it to check it out with DS (17 months) or if we should find something else to do. Thanks!!

Re: Vashon Island?
I spent a ton of time over there when I was younger (family is from the Island). We mostly hung out down at the beach- you can find lots of great parks and beaches to roam.
There is not a lot 'in town' but I like the restaurant in the old hardward store and it's noisy enough to be kid friendly.
If you are cylists and have a cart for your DS you could pick some of the quieter roads and go for a bike ride.
