getting to pre-PG weight but nothing fits...

This isn't me complaining, I'm just curious. ?If you went down to your pre-PG weight relatively quickly after giving birth (under 6 months) but still didn't fit into your clothes, how long did it take for your body to change shape so that things fit again, especially if you were BFing? ?I have no comparison b/c with #1 I didn't lose it until after I finished BFing at one year, and as soon as I lost the weight, my clothes fit. ?As of this morning I'm 1.5 lbs away from my original goal weight, and not even close to fitting into my clothes. ?I've re-set my goal to my pre-PG weight (I had set my goal +5 lbs b/c of BFing, but I still don't look like "me" in the mirror, so I'm re-setting it) so that means I actually have 6.5 lbs left to go, but I kind of doubt my clothes will fit even after I hit that goal, probably because it's still relatively soon after giving birth. ?I know that once I lose the weight, it's just a waiting game for my body to return to it's original shape, I'm just curious as to about how long this typically takes? ?All my friends IRL seem to be those annoying "I was in my pre-PG pants a week after I came home from the hospital" people.

  • I was at pre-preg weight by about 4 mons. But it's only recently (she's almost two) that I am back in most of my pre-preg clothes.

  • I weigh less then my prepg weight and my jeans and slacks don't fit.  I had to go up a size.  I guess my hips shifted during birth and decided to stay that way.

  • Its weird, I lost all the weight by my 6 week pp check up, but I couldn't wear certain pants for almost an entire year after giving birth!

  • I agree with PP, I weigh the same as I did pre-pg ( it took me about 2-3 weeks to get into some of my old jeans) and some clothes dont fit and the ones that do fit diffrently. I think things shift, bones get stretched all that fun stuff. I dont think you are one of the "I fit in my clothes one week after " people, people just like to hate those that actually do it. I myself worked out until 38 weeks so I say I deserve to say I walked away with just a few pounds to lose. The shape of the belly now that is another story :) I am working on that one......
  • I got to pre-pg weight around 6 monhts I think and some pants still don't fit.  My hips changed and my booty got bigger (apparently my booty took what little I had in my boobs...)
