...caffeine?
I didn't. I mean, I do feel like I cut back majorly. I only have one cup each day (though, I'm guessing it's more like 12oz and not 8oz), it's pretty weak, too. But, I'll occasionally have a soda in the evening. I don't think I was this bad with DS and I'm not terribly worried about it...just wondering who's in my same boat!

DH works for a coffee roasting company that make amaaazing coffee, so giving it up was tough. Luckily they make good decaf though, so I've been drinking that or green tea in the morning. No caffeinated sodas or iced tea for me though. At this point I don't really feel like I need caffeine anymore--it was the first few weeks that were tough.
well....i dont drink any caffeine...not soda, no coffee, not iced tea....and that isnt because of this pregnancy....its because i get terrible palpitations and sleeplessness with it....
my motto is that i want to be able to nap at a moments notice...and i dont want anything to keep me from that!!

I gave it up when we were TTC DS, stayed off of it during that pregnancy, and only had it a couple times after he was born before we discovered that he would get a rash when I had caffeine (and citrus, tomatoes, etc.), so I got rid of it again while I was EBFing, and then never really added it back in. I'd have a few caffeinated drinks per month, maybe, but that was it, so I haven't really had anything other than chocolate in the way of caffeine during this pregnancy.
It may change over the next 3 days, though, as we attempt to paint several rooms in our new house, prior to moving in Saturday.
... every single day of forever.
I have not had any coffee or soda (other than lemonade which is caffeine free - Not sure about other brands but the one I get is) this entire pregnancy. The most caffeine I have had is from a chocolate bar!
Before my BFP I practically lived on diet coke however to be honest, I havent fancied it during my pregnancy.
Coffee on the other hand is a different story - It is the only thing I miss from my pregnancy cutbacks. It is like torture
Its all down to personal preference though and to each their own - I think everything is fine in moderation, its just down to what you decide to do as an individual!
This exactly. In fact, after going cold turkey for a bit, I don't even really have a taste for coffee anymore, so it's been easy to cut back. Caffeine-free Coke is a lifesaver!

One of my friends just got pregnant, and she and I were talking about the different diet changes. She asked me what I was doing about chocolate, and I laughed at her. Now of course, I felt bad immediately (b/c if she wants to cut out chocolate, more power to her), but I just couldn't have survived without my nightly bowl of ice cream. Some days that was the most calories I could get in my body.
Anyway, back to the OP. I didn't drink any caffeinated beverages in first tri, and now I'll drink on 2-3 times a week (usually a tea), because I really don't want to be dependent. I used to never drink any caffeine, and it was nice.
