We do not have a high chair but instead use a "clip on" chair type thing (https://www.amazon.com/Inglesina-2011-Table-Chair-Ribes/dp/B004BSFP02/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314827982&sr=8-1)
that has worked out great. But lately Sam REALLY wants to sit in the big people chairs, but of course he's too short to really effectively eat there.
Any recs for a good booster seat? I think he'd sit still longer in one than in his fast chair, which he tends to want to stand up in eleventy million times a meal.
Re: Anyone use a booster seat for their toddler?
We have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Healthy-Deluxe-Booster-White/dp/B001GQ2RWQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1314828148&sr=1-1
We dont use the tray with it- just pull the chair up to the table. It has worked okay for Liam. He doesnt have much interest in eating...so nothing really works to keep him occupied at the table.
Cool thank you! Is there anything obviously wrong with this one? https://www.amazon.com/BoosterPOD-boost-thats-comfortable-Brown/dp/B002X8Z412/ref=lh_ni_t
I like the look of it but don't want to purchase it if it's not going to be as useful as something else.

Yeah, this is pretty much like the one we have too. This is what Stella sits in to eat her meals and Hadley uses the high chair. We just bought another one for Hadley to use later. What's great is that you can also bring it places with you. We love it when we travel! It's cheap, easy to clean and makes Stella feel like a big girl cause she gets to eat with us at the table.
We have the Fisher Price one that meechrobi mentioned (or one really similar)...the benefit is that the height is adjustable so you can have it up higher (closer to the table) until he is taller.
I have one similar to the one that you like as well epphd and it works for us too because our kids have long torsos (therefore are tall when seated).
We have the FP model too...and we use it with the tray for meals, and without for coloring at the table.
Every now and again, if the tray is dirty and I'm too lazy to wash it, I'll let her have her plate at the table. She likes that a lot.
Just the price! Ha!! Just kidding! Other than being double the cost of the one I posted it looks very similar. I think it would work well for you.
Ha! Ditto this. This is the one I really liked too, but couldn't win when DH asked why we couldn't just get a $12 similar one at Target!
But we had a clip-on seat too and Elizabeth definitely likes the booster in the real chair better.
Yeah, it is pricier, but our living/dining space is all open and pretty small to boot, so I'll pay extra for something that "goes" I'm vain about the weirdest stuff!
Thanks again!

epphd - I like that one too. If we end up moving, it would be perfect for our kitchen (our current high chair/seat thing would not). Just wanted to let you know I saw another one on amazon that was more reasonably priced:

(sorry it's not clicky - never works on my macbook)
The color looks really funky in the first few pictures, but in the rest, it looks more normal.
We have this as well and it works great and allows them to be a in 'real' chair with the rest of us.
I have friends that have this - they love it and use it so much they bought a 2nd one for their younger child. They love them and don't have a bad word to say about them...and I agree, they are better looking than the FP one (which I just said I own in a previous post). I say buy it!
