After going to injection training, just curious how many people do subcutaneous injections in their abdomen versus their thigh. My IVF nurse felt it was easier for a lot of patients to do it in the thing, while sitting - but I feel like I only hear of people giving the shots in the abdomen. So, I'm curious

When I first started injections I did almost all of my subj in the thigh. Couldn't stand the idea of doing them in the abdomen. At some point I was required to do them in the abdomen and I realized that they actually hurt less.
When I do lupron or ganirelix for pre-cycle suppression, I do those in the thigh but I do fsh in the abdomen. I figure closer to the ovaries the better.

I just had my injection class today too
They said it could be in either the stomach or the thigh.
Good luck with your upcoming cycle!
we have done 2 cycles.....this is what we find to be best for me....
start lupron in tummy, rotate sides
add the menepur and follistim shots and those go into the thigh rotate each day
sooo to break it down, no spot has a shot in it back to back......it really made a difference when we got this down pat!
