Feeling sad for DH and MIL today. (NTR)

DH's grandfather passed away on Memorial Day. He had been really ill for a while and had several near death experiences over the past two years. He was 91 and had lived a long life. This morning DH's grandmother passed away. She has been battling Dementia with Lewy Bodies for the past 3 years. She was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in January and they had stopped chemo in June. Her body, health and cognitive state had rapidly declined over the past month or so. So, again, this was an expected death. Still though, I feel so bad for my MIL, my DH and their family for having to experience the death of both the matriarch and the patriarch of their family in such a short period of time - exactly 3 months, in fact. Everyone seems to be holding up well, and I'm sure my MIL, after spending the past 3 years taking care of her sick elderly parents, and hiring and managing 24 care for her parents so they could stay at home, must feel some relief that her parents are no long sick and suffering. But, I'm sure that she is still hurting, as is the rest of the family. So, please keep my family in your T&P over the next few days as we all go through the process of grieving and burying a loved one yet again
