Starting 1st Cycle

Hi there...

 My husband and I started out first cycle of IVF this month. We have male factor infertility issues (low sperm count).

I started taking lupron on 8/9/11 and just started my menstral cycle today! It is so frustrating...I feel so out of control of my own body/future. Does it get easier? I am really having a hard time staying positive when I feel soooooo crappy!

    I'm sorry that you're not feeling very well.  When I was on just Lupron, I found that I just didn't have good days--not that they were bad, but I just wasn't happy.  Like, I didn't laugh like I normally would or find humor in things that I normally would. I found that it got better for me once I started the stims.  

    I thought of it as giving my RE complete control over my ovaries and hormonal cycle.  That way, even if I didn't have control over it (since I don't--thanks PCOS) at least my RE did!

    I started the follistim last wed....went down on the lupron and feel sooo much better!
