We set a budget of $100 for DH to spend on my birthday gift, but I need to give him a list.

What would you spend $100 on?

I don't want a massage, mani/pedi, haircut, etc. I want something tangible. I just can't think of anything. Don't really need any clothes.

Would it be weird to ask for some workout DVDs? My gym membership has lapsed and I don't want to pay for a sitter to visit my trainer.

I made a wish list on Amazon of things I want/need, like DVDs or books, and DH can pick from that if he wants. That way I can get something I want and still be surprised.

Would you want to reinstate your gym membership?

If not, Wicked is touring through our area and I would ask for tickets to go see that. I don't know if you're into theater/musicals though.

$100 iBooks or iTunes gift card, or maybe a tattoo. A new microwave, new blender, or food processor. New clothes, candles, family photos framed and hung on the wall. Remind me to save this list. I can never think of what I want when I'm asked by friends or family!

I like this idea. I also love cooking, so DH likes to buy me gift cards for kitchen stores, then we go shopping together and I get to pick out whatever I want (practical or not). The gift is not only the gift card, but the shopping as well. Some women might not like that kind of gift, but I love it!

No, my gym membership costs more than that plus living in Houston it takes 15 minutes to drive anywhere. I just don't think I'd go because I have to pack the baby blah blah blah, you know every excuse in the book! I just know I wouldn't go. It was walking distance from my office, that's the only reason I used to go. And oh yeah, my company paid for the membership!

I LOVE musicals and plays, we go to tons. We saw Wicked last summer. It was great! We got the flyer for the upcoming seasons, not too much I really wanted to see. Bummer.

A couple Christmas's ago DH got me this AWESOME Fossil watch. It was over $100 originally, but on sale I think he got it for like $85 maybe? I love it.

It's the same style as this one (Riley) but it's all silver-no white.

I wouldn't think it's weird. I asked DH to build a 2nd light for my seedling growing stand for my birthday, now that's a strange gift.

My birthday is in a week and I am getting custom curtains for our living room Wink I am slightly obsessed with them, but they cost $350 so I have to use birthday money I get from family towards them.

But I have hinted about some other things I want also. Amazon giftcard-I have a kindle so that is nice. I like Philosophy stuff so DH always gets me some lotion or something. I also l have pointed out a few house things, like a little bowl and some other smaller stuff we saw in Anthropologie.

What about a facial? Always feels good to be pampered.

I've seen it twice- once in college and once a couple years ago in London. So good! Aside from Wicked, the season coming through here is pretty lack-luster or stuff I've already seen

I read about some of her business practices, BUT I have been doing some of her webisodes via YouTube and I really like them. I know, I know. I can't help it though.

That's what I love about Amazon wishlists. I can only think of things that I want when it's not my birthday or Christmas. And you can save anything to them.

I wouldn't do books or dvd's just because they are so easy to get free from the Library if it is something you will read or watch once. Or do a netflix subscription. Also, there is so much workout stuff on youtube, I would think workout dvds would be a waste of money.

I like the riding boots idea, but for me they would actually be real riding boots since I have horses!

Good to know! I bought the cheapie Olay knock off version to see if I would even use it. It made such a difference in my skin and now I really, really want a Clarisonic.
