Am I going to Mom Hell?

I have no intentions of washing every single thing this child received.... I just got the energy to organize the nursery (somewhat) and as I'm doing it, the guilt starts creeping in that I'm not washing all the blankets, socks, washcloths, towels... etc. before putting everything away. Anyone else? Or am I destined for mom-to-be Hell? I will definitely wash some clothing but he has so many newborn items that I don't know if he will be small enough to wear them all and plan on returning what he doesn't wear or re-gifting to a friend who is due in November.

    I'm not washing everything- only what he's coming home in and a blanket or two. The rest I'll wash as I go- if some don't get washed, it's not the end of the world- atleast not for me.

    if you don't plan on keeping them, why wash them? 

    i wash everything before wearing it, but only because I remember how bad ds was sensitivity wise to everything (he had a full on rash on his chest the day after he was born from the shirts in the hospital)

    If baby will wear/use it I definitely will wash it. But not all before she gets here. I will do it as we use it.

    I've washed a decent bit of the 0-3 stuff we have received, and some bedding. Part of this is because it was all hand-me-downs, and I just wanted to wash it before DS wore it. I haven't even touched the majority of his older month clothing yet. But I really think it's all personal preference.

    Good to know! I do plan on washing some stuff but I just feel overwhelmed at the thought of loads and loads of laundry when I barely want to leave the couch! I will wash what he's going to wear early on... but I was wondering if I was a bad mom if I didn't wash everything and sanitize his room  :)

    Ive washed everything... even our bedsheets and hospital clothes (OCD I know)... but I'm in love with the smell of Dreft :)

    I didnt wash everything for LO, stuff that i recieved from friends and family i just put away because i know that they washed them well. Anything new or from craigslist i definately washed.

    I am washing all hand me downs, blankets, socks, and everything else I KNOW I am keeping and will be using. All of the clothes I got at my shower, I am waiting to wash. I have so much newborn and 0-3 month stuff, I doubt she will get to wear it all, so I might end up returning some of the outfits with tags for bigger sizes.
