How crazy is this? ( Vent )

My SIL is 28 weeks pg due in mid November -- I cannot believe how ignorant she is about being pregnant. She had bright red spotting 3 or 4 days ago and didn't want to go to the hospital. Her H ( who is most likely not the babies father ) finally made her go and they didn't know why she was spotting but found out the baby's head is misshaped (due to Topamax she was taking with unprotected sex).. So yesterday she said she felt a gush of water and soaked through her skirt and a huge amount of pressures... And went home! Not to the hospital, home! Then she said she felt like she was leaking all day and my MIL screamed at her to go to the hospital, so she did. Luckily it's nothing -- they think a bacterial infection and she's not good about taking her antibiotics. But really?? How lucky is she! Here baby could have been dying and she didn't even care.. So freaking frustrating! I had to vent!

Ya a little! I went swimming yesterday and it really helped! I'm going again tomorrow to keep it up. Thanks for asking

OMG! I'm definitely with the :facepalm: group. I'm glad the baby is ok but yikes. You want your baby born that premature and in a NICU for over a month (if he/she survives)?!?! Sometimes people still amaze me.

Actually my best friend had 2 twin girls at 28 weeks, they were in the NICU for 3 months and now they are healthy 4 month old girls. Just sayin. Also they had a 80 percent survival when they were delivered.

Other than no BMs for the past few days, great! Nervous for next Tuesday b/c it will be my first flight since about week 6. Back then my tummy was doing flips. eta: meant to quote MHMH

Another person that people who worked SO HARD and waited SO LONG for pregnancy cannot Fathom how they stumble into pregnancy so easily. Bright red= me running to ER, carrying DS if I must. Use your Brain, Woman! There is someone counting on you now!!! Grrrr....... I am praying for that baby. And your sanity. LOL

Ya this exactly... The fact that she didn't even freaking care blew my mind. When she got to the ER the nurse kicked her ass about not coming in sooner and that babies can die if u put something off until tomorrow -- she said it better to come to the ER 100 times then to not come the one time u need to... Ughhh annoying!

Well I never said that I am backing your SIL up at all, she is a ass in my opinion, not to offend but I was just saying that a baby born that early has a pretty high survival rate, that is all I was saying.

I didn't take offense -- fortunately she IS at viability but still she shouldn't be so ignorant -- it's just annoying

I couldn't agree more, I think that she shouldn't be putting her not even born baby at risks, it is so messed up and sad.
