Infertility

DH: "Have a good day today" Me: "I'm going for a saline sono. 'Nuff said."

Ugh - I am so nervous about my saline sono. this morning. I know it's supposedly not as painful as the HSG but I'm still nervous because my HSG was a nightmare. And as far as pain in concerned, even the speculum hurts me so I think I'm out of luck for a good experience. I'm totally treating myself to Starbucks afterwards.
Me: 31, Dx: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, Elevated AMH of 18 DH: 34 & borderline morphology issues IUI#1/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = Mild OHSS & BFN IUI#2/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = BFN IVF#1 converted to FET due to moderate OHSS 21 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilized 7 frosties, 6 genetically normal December 5th FET with one perfect blast = BFN FET #2 = early February

  • Having done both, I can say the sonogram was definitely easier.  It wasn't the most pleasant experience, and at one point there was a little pain, but it goes much faster, and overall it was a better experience.  I hope all goes well for you today!

  • Good luck today! Its not so bad, seemed to be over extremely quickly compared to the HSG Smile
Lots of natural cycles, 2 IUIs, and 3 IVFs later, our miracle girl/boy twins were born 08.04.12 at 35w6d. We are in love!
  • Good luck, just try to relax and not think about it! Make sure you take painkiller beforehand, I took 800 mg of Motrin and a Xanax before mine :) I also wear headphones and listen to music to help keep my mind off of it.
  • I hope everything goes well for you today.

  • I didn't find it too bad either, it was more the anticipation of it (like most of these things I suppose). Good luck and enjoy your Starbucks! A treat always helps me too.
