Into: Long time lurker and a little vent too!

Hello I have been lurking on this board on and off for three years now, but I feel the need to introduce my self, so here is my story: (please forgive the spelling)

I have always wanted to be a mommy and I even started a journal to my unborn child when I was 16 (inspired by the book suzzanes diary to nicholas). But I was determined to wait until I could be the best mommy possible, so I didn't even lose my virginity until I was 18 and that was to my now husband who i had been with since we were 13. So I graduated college @ 21 and got married that same year. We started TTC right away but after 6 - 8 months of trying with period only once every 3 - 4 months I was diagnosed with PSOC. I did 3 rounds of clomid and concived my beautiful son who is now 2. We started TTC # 2 in january and stupid me I though it would be easier this time. The first time we told everyone we were TTC and all the questions drove me crazy so this time we are keeping it to ourselves! I am on my third round of clomid and waiting for AF who should be her anytime (as stated my period are irregular anyway and I havehad to done provera before so who knows) I POAS this morning and got a BFN which was depressing. To add to all this my ex BFF is five months preggers and finds out what she is having today. Note I said ex bff that is because we had a falling out last year after she had her SECOND abortion, and had the nerve to tell me I was just jealous she could get KU and I couldn't! No I have an issue with killing children just because you are to dumb to keep your legs closed but too selfish to be a mommy. The worst part is we are actually cousin and she work at my moms resturant so I am foreced to still see her. I am trying so hard to be a good christian and not have evil thoughts but it is sooo hard! Well that is me

Welcome and Good Luck! Sorry your ex BFF causes so much heart ache for you, I hope you find support here that you are looking for. There is also a secondary IF board with others on TTC#2 or higher that may have some valuable information for you as well. I hope you get your success soon. Good Luck!

ETA - don't forget that it can take a healthy couple a year to conceive!

I'm sorry you have PCOS and all, but posting here complaining about TTC #2 after 8 months and having you kid in your avatar may not go over so well. Most people here have been trying for years for #1 and have gone through a lot more advanced ART. Though we welcome women undergoing treatment to have their second child, they really are quite respectful of others on the board and don't complain about wanting to be a mommy (because they already are one) or being disappointed because #2 is harder than #1. These are valid feelings and I am not trying to dismiss them, but they are topics appropriate for another board, and as a longtime lurker you know which boards they are.

I understand your frustration over your ex BFF, but sorry but at least you have a child. And 8 months is nothing, there are couples on here that have been trying for years to have a baby. Most of us on this board are still struggling to have our first child; I would recommend the Secondary IF board.

Thanks for being the only one to be nice! I didn't know about the secondary infertility board (I saw it but didn't really know what it was) I think I will take mayself there since it doesn't look there is much support to be found here

I don't think anyone was being rude hun. I think everyone agreed that they feel sorry that you are having to deal with your ex friend and that must be very difficult for you. It's just that it is a fact that it can take a healthy couple a year to conceive, so once we get to this IF board, we have all been trying over a year for the most part. And not many of us have a child so we have no idea what that feels like. I think the secondary board or the Trying to get Pregnant board would just be more a fit for you.
