It was in bad taste. I understand where you guys are coming from. I do not agree with leaving a child alone in the car ever.
However, not everyone defending her was in on it. So if anything I hope it brought to light what those women were doing and hopefully they won't do it again.
First... touche to Ejensify, a well intended two minutes could turn into hours in a matter of seconds.
And second.. I miss when people on this board got along, or at least appeared to and posting here was actually beneficial. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it is, and other times it is just silly to think I do. Which sucks being a FTM with no mommy friends to get advice and personal experiences from...

With a spinoff board/FB board, it's the natural trend. Pretty soon, implosion.
I'll continue to post. And if people don't like my advice, they can ignore it. So far via Pm's with a few of you, I feel like what I say here is well-intended and helpful. For the most part
To clarify about the FB group. IT WAS NOT A GROUP EFFORT. There were only a handful of us that came up with the idea and participated. So, please, do not judge the group as a whole, majority of the group did not participate, or even know what was going on until it was all over with.
Oh Sarah-I assure you I do not have a tiny IQ. College grad here. Graduated top of my class.
The article Token posted is by far not the same thing as our mud post. Forgetting your child is in the car for hours on end is much different than leaving your car running with the child in it for 5 mins. I think it's a horrible thing that does happen. any my heart breaks for those parents.
Even leaving the child in the car for 5 minutes is a huge risk. What if the car was stolen? And yes, the cops can arrest you for it and you can be charged with child endangerment.
I have 2 kids that both get out of the car with me each time I do. That's not high and mighty. That's being a good/non-lazy Mom.
Seriously. I'm not going to argue with stupid anymore. You think it's funny, I think it's disgusting to joke about something like this.
Or someone breaks your window and takes your child? Or maybe they don't even need to break your window. My mom used to have a Saturn whose key would unlock every Saturn of the same make. Not start it, but unlock it.

I don't need privacy to tell you that some of these bishes are obnoxious and that I always appreciate your two cents.
The whole thing was a joke while it may have been a little over the top I think the bigger issue was that after it came out elisubu said she was in on it and token couldn't bother to read the whole post to see that and made a snarky comment. this was where problems started because there are a few people on these boards that believe their way is the best and only way and that isn't the case. It is also annoying that if you never post about any problems or questions just how perfect everything is people start to think you are full of sh!t. JMO, sorry for grammar and spelling Im on my phone.

I posted in another thread already but I will put it here too!
I do apologize a million times to anyone I offended. I didn't mean to make this much of an issue. I really did not think fully about it, and after this post I realize what I did was a horrible joke. I am sorry! Please don't hate me or the whole FB group. (The entire group wasn't in on it, just a select few) Also, Elsibu was the only person who was in on it that defended me, the other two were serious about leaving theirs in the car. I really am sorry, lesson learned!

For what it's worth, I read the thread yesterday and I don't think in any way that you were poking fun at babies who die in the car or making any indication that it's a hilarious sort of thing. In fact, the thing about all of this that I found most distasteful is the article that was posted in this thread - it makes me sick to my stomach to have those images in my head.
The thing is, the women on this website crave drama...whether they're pregnant or already have LOs. It's the reason people watch soap operas or Jerry Springer. I get that MUDding up the place to stir up a bunch of uptight women is amusing. I was reading through the posts while I was nursing yesterday and I was amused. It doesn't take much to get people going --they're just DYING to find one little thing to blow out of proportion and flame away on. This thread is a perfect example. You love drama too! You are here, you are reading this! Are you really resorting to "your brain is tiny" and "you're uneducated"? When can we see the "I feel sorry for your child to have you as a mother" posts??
But seriously, no one in their right mind, especially those with children, find baby deaths to be hilarious. And in the spirit of apologizing, here are some of my past FFFCs that were slightly made in jest.
* I am sorry that I ate lunch meat and had a piece of sushi when I was
pregnant. In no way do I think people should endanger unborn children
with potential poisons.
* I am sorry that I said I don't sterilize my bottles - I just wash them in hot soapy water. I don't think contaminating children is funny.
* I am sorry that I said I have left my baby on the changing table to walk into the kitchen to grab something. Very strong babies could dive onto the ground and be seriously injured and I do not advocate this.

Hi ladies, I'm normally just a lurker but I had to post this article. This happened near my home town and I think it caused a lot of people to really think twice about leaving their LO in the car while just running inside quick...
