Update: WTF

I had my WTF on Friday, but then needed a few days break, so was offline over the weekend.

It went as well as expected. She did say that she wouldn't expect this to happen again if we tried again (retrieving no eggs), that usually a different protocol has different results. She recommended a Microdose Lupron Flare protocol, and said we would talk about what I would need in place before I went to retrieval again. The good news....I rechecked my AMH a few weeks ago, and it was still .62, so at least no drop!!

Going into retrieval I had 5 follies (L-21, 14, R-20, 19-15) and my E2 was 989. She said she would have liked to see an E2 over 1000, otherwise she would recommend an IUI. She did say that she didn't believe my follicles were empty, she said that there was an egg in there somewhere, she just couldn't retrieve it. (Kind of like that Mrs. McIrish sent to me said!)

Moving forward, she gave me lab slips to check my FSH/Estrogen in Sept and Oct, and to recheck my AMH in October.  DH and I have already decided to try acu for the next few months and that we won't cycle again until Nov. I have an appt mid-Sept for a second opinion, and then we go from there....

7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    I'm glad to hear that the RE doesn't think this will happen to you again.   That's good that your AMH didn't drop. I hope you find success in November and GL with the opinion.  Hang in there:-)

    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    It's good to hear that she has a new plan and doesn't think it would happen again. I hope that the acu and the break are helpful to you and that the next round will bring you great success :)
    IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
    IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
    IVF #1 = BFN
    FET #1 = BFN
    FET #2 = BFN
    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
    IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    Great news that she feels it's a one-off, that is wonderfully hopeful. Best of luck with your next cycle and hope that the break is just what you need.
