It works so much better when I put Owen in a hip carry with a shoulder-flip than it did with him in a cradle carry. I had it in my diaper bag and we were at a birthday party where it was too crazy with toddlers to put him down. It worked great to let me eat. So if you've already got one, give it a try before you junk it.

This would work with any pouch or ring sling. I just know a bunch of us got the "free" seven sling, and I don't think anyone really liked it much. I think I'll just leave mine for the diaper bag emergency sling, but it would work good for running into a store or (like last night) half an hour at a party.

I hang out with a certified babywearing educator... which I had zero idea existed until I had a baby. What I learn from her, I try to pass along. She also lets me try out her carriers, which is pretty spiffy.
I'd never buy a seven sling again, but being as I have the darn thing I'm glad if I can find a way to use it a bit.

There is a baby store within walking distance here that has certified BWers on staff, but I doubt it is kosher to take my Moby (or other contraption) over there, ask for help, and not actually buy anything from them... I'm not sure the products at the store are in my price range, but I have thought of asking them for help. I appreciate you being a BW messenger!
