Small gift idea for 5 year old girl?

I'd like to buy a small gift for a friend's 5 year old daughter - something in the $5 range.  Any ideas?  If it were a 5 year old boy, I'd buy a small Lego set as that is what my son would love.  Thank you for the input!  :-)

    what about one of those cute chapstick or mini nailpolish sets? not sure if that is too mature for a 5 year old though!

    step into reading books, a barbie, dress up stuff, dolls, stuffed animals. i wouldnt do make up , unless you know the parents standing on those kind of things. I would be ok with it, but i know some parents who are not.

    How about some cool stickers?  I remember loving them myself and got some for a 4 yr old girl recently, she seemed happy!

    Thanks ladies!  I've never met her before, but from the pics I've seen on FB, she looks very girly and into dress up.  I'll go to Target and see if I can find a small dress up gift.  I bet they have all their Halloween stuff out so there might be something there.

    I was going to also suggest dress up stuff....coloring books/art supplies, any of the little figurine sets (like my little pony, etc).

     

    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    Gabby's 5.  She really likes pens, pencils, water colors, paper, stickers, hole punches, glue sticks, glitter.
