Yikes. Instead of worrying about baby showers, I think this girl needs to study her primary language a little more. Let's just hope her husband has a better grasp on it and can teach the baby.

When some of the ladies have tried explaining their unique circumstances, it seems like the majority of people completely overlook that & stick to the guidelines of a traditional baby shower. People do post on here looking for opinions, and giving advice on how to properly have a baby shower is fine, but be respectful. As a military wife, I had to do my baby shower slightly different from a traditional one, and my way of doing things was criticized by a few. Hello! Not everyone has family & friends right down the street who can take the reigns and throw them a surprise baby shower. Again, sometimes we have unique circumstances. Just keep that in mind & be civil about things. You can be honest without hurting someone's feelings & completely tearing apart their ideas.

A baby shower is not a right, it's a gift. If no one is throwing you a baby shower, then you don't get one. Period. It's sad, sure, but oh well. Life goes on. Not everyone has a baby shower. And if you don't have any friends near you who can host a shower for you, then who are you going to invite if you host it? I would be looking at your guest list and wondering why no one on it has offered yet. Another thing I don't understand: Why do people think that just because they don't get a baby shower, they won't get any gifts from their friends and family? Don't you think your friends and family who are far away love you enough to mail you packages of baby things? I bet they do. You might not get them until after the baby comes, but really, it'll be fine that way. You don't need much to start with. So please don't feel like you need to throw your own shower. You'll get plenty without it. Plus, you don't need the stress of hosting a party when you are pregnant.

i don't see why you all are acting up over this, who gives a crap what other people have to say, ignore it if you don't want to hear it, and plus venting like this and getting worked up over nothing raises your blood pressure and that's not good for your unborn baby, there, there is my two cents, if you don't like what i have to say then to bad
