After prepping all of my cotton stash in the washer because I had a lot, I'm wondering if I can boil my 2 BGEs that are on the way. I just can't see running the machine 3-5 times for 2 diapers, if I can boil them, but the PUL and snaps have me wondering if that's not a good idea. Thoughts?

Re: Anyone ever boiled a BGE?
I don't think you're supposed to boil PUL and snaps, but I just got my seven BGE seconds today and was wondering how I'm supposed to prep and take care of them - I always line dry my pockets and machine dry my inserts, but what do you do when they're combined? I would much prefer machine drying but don't wanna wreck them.
I prepped my first batch of BGEs by washing them (I think 3 or 4 times) and then I machine dried them after the first wash and line dried subsequently and they are perfect.
I guess I'll be doing that again, even though I only have 2 more. I knew I was unsure for a reason, but glad I got confirmation. Thanks!

I got my seconds yesterday and am planning to just put him in prefolds this weekend and will do a natural fibers wash only Sunday night. I'll probably only wash them once or twice and just figure they'll be a lot less absorbant for the first few times. I wouldn't run a load just for 2 diapers if you have enough other natural fibers.
