Do you have a 'family calendar' hanging somewhere?

If so, where?

I'm thinking about getting this.....

Chalkboard Wall Calendar - Vinyl Wall Decals

I *need* something so we're all on the same page, but the place where I'd have to put it is where the main hallway meets the kitchen entrance.  So, everyone that came in past the front doorway/entrance would see all of our business.;) lol.

(And I'm about to be a PW, FYI)

  • I just ordered something similar to hang in my office.  The one I got is from PB teen.  I'm going to put it in a frame, though and stick the vinyl thing onto a board of some sort to put in the frame.  I don't want it on my wall because we have a texture.

  • Yes, we have a family calendar.  We MUST have it because of all of our scheduling needs or else there are issues.  Ours is an actual paper calendar that my mom gave me last year for Cmas.  It hangs on our fridge.
  • Sort of. We have a regular calendar that I hang on the fridge. Birthdays, events, g2gs, appointments, etc. go on it.    DH actually wrote on it for the very first time a few days ago. It was epic.

  • I have a monthly calendar hanging on a hook on my refrigerator. I use it for school assignment, field trips, chores. If we have a party to go to, it goes on there. Anything I will probably forget.

    I bought it at Target.

  • Ours is a paper calendar. I am the only one that writes on it. I think DH will see more of the value of it now that DS is in school. It lives in the same place in the kitchen where i have file folders for each of us.

  • We have one I keep on the side of the fridge.

  • We do, but it NEVER gets updated or even glanced at.

Yep. We've had lots of nifty and pretty calendars over the years but the only one we've ever, ever been able to keep up with is our iCal/Google Calendars. ;-)

  • Google calendar is what we use.  We have way too much going on a regular basis to fit on a paper calendar.

This.  We have one in the kitchen, but both DH and I keep electronic calendars so we just sync together on google.  My DSD's mom keeps one for DSD's schedule so we sync that too.  Works out well!!

  • nope - we use google calendar. I need to be able to put something on a calendar as soon as I learn about it. I would never remember to update a calendar that's at home.
  • We have a current year wipe off one on the refrigerator.  It's pretty big and shows one month at a time.  We each have our own color and stuff we do together is in black.  I never cared that it was in full view, but MIL snoops and asks questions.
Oh I see you had a Dr.s appt.  What for?"
  • I bought a big desk calendar, put some business card magnets on the 4 corners, and put it on my fridge. It works GREAT. I'm always in the fridge or passing through the kitchen anyways so its right there staring me in the face. I love it.
  • Yes, and I depend on it.  Ours is also kitchen adjacent, but I don't really care if someone is nosy enough to read all of our appointments.  No jewelry heists or secret spy missions in our future.

  • We have a picture calendar on our fridge, though not everything always makes it on that. DH and I have "Cozi" apps on our phones and we both put our schedules in our phones and it sync's the others phone, so that's nice.
  • We have a monthly calendar and we keep everyone's appointments, events..etc on there.  We would be lost without it.  It's convenient for all of us, my husband checks it before making plans, appointments and I do the same.   I hang it it the kitchen on the side of the last kitchen cabinet right above where the phone sits on the wall.
