Babies: 9 - 12 Months

how old to outgrow exersaucer??

curious at what age babies at outgrow these... DD is a little over 7 months and we have never had one and thinking it might not be worth it to get it now... though would be nice to have something to put her in when I need to take a shower or something... we have the fisherprice jumperoo already.

  • I'm not sure when they generally stop using it.  DD is 8 1/2 months and still likes to be in it.  She doesn't want to spend as much time in it as she used to, but we still use it every day to eat breakfast and lunch.

  • The weight limit on most exersaucers is 25 pounds.  Most babies will be able to use it past a year...however, many would probably not want to be in it after they learn to crawl and/or walk.  A walker might be a better investment.

  • ds is still using his exersaucer.  he loves to jump in it, though he doesn't stay in it very long now.  he does pull up to it and play with the toys from the outside though

  • My daughter still liked to play in it at just over one year old and she was just under the weight limit then.  I packed it away right around 12.5 months because she could climb out of it!
