I am new here and I have never really gotten an obvious positive OPK. I did have one day where the edge of the line was darker but faded to lighter which I now hear could have been a positive. I was only testing once a day. Should I try again testing twice a day? Once a day was difficult enough with work. I would wrap the test in a papertowel and bring it back to my desk and set it in a drawer but always felt like a weirdo walking through the hallways at work with my pee test 
Anyone have ideas or opinions on this? Maybe I could test in the AM at work and then again late when I get home? I work long days, 7ish am to 6ish. Any opinions will help! thanks!

I have only used them for two cycles, so I'm kind of new and paranoid about missing my surge since I'm not sure how long it lasts. I have heard people say it can only last a few hours, so testing only once a day might cause you to miss it. What I have been doing is testing around 5pm when I get home from work. Once I think I'm close to O or the test line starts getting a bit darker (but still negative), I'll try testing twice a day (like right before work or if I go home for lunch). I haven't had to do it at work, I'm not sure how I'd pull it off. lol
This was me just today!!! Then I started picturing myself dropping it while we are talking, someone bumping into me and it flying...all these crazy scenarios. I heard nothing she said while I was standing there with pee stick in hand. Ugh.

I would recommend testing twice a day (while getting ready for work and before you go to bed maybe) and buying the Wondfo cheapies from Amazon.
I test in the morning when I get up (use the restroom, dip the strip, and brush my teeth, etc for five minutes then read it) and then later in the day once I am home. I use the Wondfo so they are cheap and I don't mind using them twice a day. To me it worth it to catch my surge.
Just out of curiousity, why do you test at work and not before work? I would end up doing something embarrasing if I carried a pee stick around with me.
I have a question about these too - (and I have been testing before and after work)
I understand the faint second line is still a negative, but is it indicative of anything? that a surge is coming? or is that second line there randomly or all the time and means nothing?
I saw someone say "as it gets darker" so thought maybe it means O is coming.

3. Is it normal to see 2 lines all the time? It is very common. Most women produce LH almost all the time, and the OPK will detect it, giving you a "test" line that is lighter than the control line. About 12-36 hours before ovulation occurs, there will be a surge in LH, and the test line will become as dark as, or darker than, the control line. If, however, your test line is almost always positive or nearly positive, it can be indicative of a hormone imbalance. See this FAQ for details. THANK YOU so much Tennis! I appreciate your copying and pasting. I tried searching for the wondfo instructions online, they were useless. As was everything I came across through google.
Well at least I know I have healthy amounts of LH regularly surging through my body. Better than never having any.

Guess I don't have to test at work but I thought you weren't supposed to use your first morning urine. Also everything I read said you should try to test between late morning and afternoon. So thats why...maybe I can get away with testing once at work in the morning and then when I get home at like 6:30? I just haven't been very successful getting a positive reading so I think I may be missing it.
I sort of enjoy the thrill of getting to my desk from the bathroom with my pee stick! LOL so I will keeping rocking that just for giggles
