I don't post very often- but I thought my story might help other's searching for similar stories. (or wondering about the effect of a LEEP procedure)
I had a LEEP procedure in Jan 10' to remove some "pre-cancerous" cells, shortly thereafter I got pregnant with my Baby Girl. We have been seeing a Maternal Fetal Specialist every 4 weeks and having cervical measurements taken, just in case. At 15 weeks I was measuring a 3.6 and everything was great- I was taking Spin Classes, Walking 3 miles a few times a week ago and taking care of my 1 yr old DS. I went in on Friday for the 20 wk, A/S and when they meausred the Cervix it had dropped to 1.6- dangerously low and a sign of pre-term labor. They admitted me to the hospital that morning and discharged me 4 days later- there were no contractions and the Cervix was lengthing everyday. Now I'm at home on stict bedrest for an undetermined amount of time.
I was wondering if anyone had experianced anything like this? Did you remain on bed rest the entire time? Do they ever change it to modified? I hate not being able to take care of my little boy- it breaks my heart that I can't give him his bath and put him to bed everynight, but this time next year I will have 2 beautiful/healthy babies- I keep telling myself I can do anything for a few months.
Sorry this was so long!

Love22 had a very nice point. Try to enjoy the quiet activities and cuddling with your little one. The good thing is that you are not still in the hospital. Keep up the good job and resting.
I also had a LEEP and my doctor has been very proactive and has me come in every 2 weeks. I have been preparing myself for BR. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you for all of the support! Sometimes that's all you need to get through times like this. I will def. check out the blog- thanks for the suggestion. I have an appointment on Monday- keep the T&P coming that the number continues to improve...THANKS AGAIN!
