I know this varies tremendously, just thought I would see where your LO's where at with their language development.
What/how many words are they using and how many are they putting together etc?
DD has several words that we can understand, but probably just a few that a complete stranger would understand. She carries on conversations all day long with babble and seems like she is really going to start talking any day now!
Re: What is your LO's current language dev?
She can say Mama, Dada, What's that? ("was da?!?"), I git, down... so that's 5 things.
She also knows what a duck and a cow say. Sometimes lion and monkey noises.
mama, dada, march (Ba)
we get "bye bye" (ba, ba) and "go" every once in a while (not often at all).
sometimes he may repeat -- like when he gives me something I say "thank you" he says "da, doo"... LOL
Tooter has mastered "Whats that?", "car", "hey", "ball", "bye bye".
Our pedi has expressed her concern for his language development (or non-development for that matter).. but I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to "force" the words on him... :-/

My DD is 13 months old and has quite a few words. She says mama, dada, nonna (my mom), dog, buh bye, thank you, good girl, big girl, baby, up, hey, mine, book, ball, and hello.
ETA: forgot she also does uh-oh, duck (sounds like ***), bird, and cat.
I guess language development is okay to discuss during the day lol
I figured when I'd open this it would be horrible.
DS says a lot. He's a chatter box. I'm not sure how many words but I'm sure its over 75.
Over 250 words, several 2-5 word phrases.
I wouldnt' admit to counting over 100 words because according to Dreamsicle and several other bumpies, that makes you a douche...
