Im a professional actress and a mommy and me music teacher. It also sounds odd but I groom dogs on the side for extra money. I went to grooming school a number of years ago and it makes good money!

I'm currently working on becoming a certified Veterinary Technician. Up until a couple of months ago, I worked for Subway... I couldn't handle the smells or the fact the my boss decided it was A-OK for half the staff to smoke illegal substances out behind the restaurant, so I handed in my resignation. I have issues with that type of thing.
Self employed business owner. I own/manage two businesses, a fashion boutique called TT's Attic and a marketing/advertising firm called The Alpha Omega Solution.
unemployed elementary school teacher... currently working for a before and after school day care.
working on my masters in literacy, however, DH and I just got a new, super nifty professional camera for when the baby's here, and I'm finding myself more and more interested in how to do photography for real. May look into taking a class or two on the topic and look at doing photography part time after the baby comes. I'll probably tutor a little after too at my own pace.
if i could i would go back to school all together for pediatric nursing but DH and I have decided for me to be a SAHM for at least 2 years... and who knows... by then another bundle could be on the way LOL. so i'm gonna keep looking into this photography thing.
I work in telecommunications in a call centre type setting. I don't know if it's the same in the US but in Canada the telecommunications companies treat you awesomely! I make almost 20 bucks an hour plus commission, am in a union, and got medical benefits as soon as I got hired. I can also put money in for stocks that the company matches for me.
Nuclear Medicine Tech. It's nice because I was able to find a PRN job where I will work limited hours when the baby gets here.
Radiology jobs are pretty good jobs, but there is NO DEMAND for them right now so I would look into that where you live if it's anything at all you're interested in. I was stuck in a job I hated for several years until finally I was able to get my current position which I love.
I was originally in teaching (not long at all) and am now a graduate student working on my PhD in Physics (science PhD's typically come with a "salary").
What you can do depends on what type of teacher you are (subject and what degree you have). Of course, if you've been teaching for a while, you could also try working for a textbook company or becoming a curriculum specialist to get yourself out of the classroom. I saw some educational magazine writer jobs when I was looking that even allowed flexible work-schedule and work-from-home.
I am a Human Resources Generalist for a small payment processing company. I like HR but I would rather do what I earned a degree in (culinary field). I wouldn't mind being a SAHM either but living in southern California requires two incomes.
9/19/12: Miscarriage at 12wks due to Triploidy, D&C 9/24/12 - I will forever miss you my little angel
I'm a restaurant manager, I wouldn't recommend it!
I did this for years and am now a Librarian. I loved the job & miss it sometimes, but it's not terribly 'family friendly'. Restaurant culture dictates if you're not living and breathing the restaurant, then you're not doing your best for the company. Now as a Librarian I get to help people find information for both leisure and enrichment. It's very satisfying. Depending on where you live, you may need a Masters Degree, but since our Library is so rural, they were happy to just have a college graduate with a strong background in research. Money is decent and hours are great!
