Toddlers: 24 Months+

who makes the smallest "big girl" underwear?

My DD just turned 2 and is very petite.  At her 2 year well baby she weighed about 25 pounds.  I just bought XXS (2-3) panties from Baby Gap and they are huge on her :(

Any ideas?  Brands that make an 18-24M size?  I know my DD isn't the smallest kid to potty train :).

  • Disney brand found at Walmart and Target were the smallest I could find.  It may just be the cut though.  They're more of a bikini cut and the others I bought were more brief.

  • The smallest boy undies I was able to find were the Faded Glory brand from Walmart. They were 2t, but were on the small side. When we started potty training DS, he was arond 28 lbs. Oshkosh undies were also on the smaller side. GL!

  • DD was in 18 mo size when I PT and the size 2/3 underwear fit her fine (and still do, she's in a 2T now.)  All of her underwear are from Walmart, Target, Kmart...

  • Thanks, everyone!  I don't shop at Wal Mart but I will try Target later today.

  • dd was 22 lbs. when she was pt'd. The gap ones are HUGE!! (they still fall off her :)

I have had the best luck w/ the character ones from Target- Fancy Nancy by Hanes are my fav. But the cheap-o's- like Dora and Disney Princess (all from Target) fit her very well too.

  • the character ones shrink a lot.  That is what we used.  My DS also wore his backwards  so that helped keep them up. yes, backwards.  the picture on them are on the butt and DS wants to see the pic so he insists that they have to be on that way.

This.  K was just over 21 lbs (at two) and wearing 12 month size pants when I attempted to pt her.  Those fit her fine.

  • We used Walmart ones like PP. I would try to shrink the ones you've got in hot water and high dryer settings just to try to get your money's worth!

  • When we PT our daughter she was only 21 months old and I think she was wearing 18 month clothes at the time.  She is very tiny.  Anyway, I bought the 2T underwear from Target and Wal-Mart.  They come in a pack of 5 I believe.  We still buy the same brand because I like the fit of them.  We have Dora and Sponge Bob ones at the present time.  I'm not sure what the brand is, but they are a more briefy fit rather than bikini.

  • DD was 15 months and 18 lbs when she PT- I had a horrible time finding underwear!  What worked for us was boy underwear- Hanes 2T.  Even though it was for 23 lbs and it was the same poundage size for the girl underwear the leg holes where smaller and it had a wide waist band that we could roll up.  And instead of white we got colors because the colors shrink better.  We also bought Thomas the Train underwear in boys as well and to be honest I think that was her favorite (probably because she could match her brother).
  • The gap XXS are just now fitting my 40 lb 2.75 year old. They're definitely not the smallest. Children's place tends to have smaller underwear, but for DD1 (22 lbs at 2 years old, 24 lbs when potty trained at 2.5), I stuck with the 2t undies from Target--the character ones. They fit her the best at the time.
