Progesterone & Acne

I have low progesterone and attempted two rounds of Clomid.  The good news is that Clomid gave me a positive LH surge, cleared up my low progesterone cystic acne, and made my PMS manageable.  The bad news is that Clomid gave me blurred vision, gifted me ovarian cysts, two BFN's, and two months OFF treatment.  My question is this: do you suffer from low progesterone cystic acne and what have you done to treat it?  I made an appointment with my OBGYN to discuss my options.  Would you say that is a good start toward treatment on the acne front?  This "issue" is totally insignificant to the bigger issue, which is TTC/IF.  I just wonder if there is a simple acne solution that you may know of.  Thanks!

    I do!!!!! Sort of, it is low progesterone and high testosterone for me.  It sucks and I have not found the best solutions as the BC was keeping away and anything a dermatologist could give me, I can't take while pregnant or trying. 

    What has been semi-working. I use a clarisonic about 3-5 times a week with cetaphil. I once a day use Oxy's Maximum facial cleaner. I only use it the morning because it will bleach your pillow case and towel. I have a special towel. The last thing I do is a personal choice and everyone reacts differently. I have an extractor and I use a little clinque clarifying lotion, some heat and then bring it to a head. Then I extract. This can scar. I don't scar so I find I do it every day to the various pimples. It clears the bad ones right up.

    I think mine was related to low progesterone. The derm did nothing for me; all the chemicals just made things worse. My face is cleared up now and I think it's due to my change in diet. I stopped eating so many salty foods (I'd eat chips for breakfast) and lost my appetite because of the IVF related stress. I just eat now because I have to (underweight) so I carefully select the foods I eat. I use Cetaphil Gentle wash in the am, a benzoyl peroxide wash my facialist carries which has no actual brand name. It's similar to the Pro Active wash. I alternate persa gel and some Neutrogena salicylic acid stuf at night. That regimen didn't stop it, though. I think it was my diet for sure or the IVF meds.
