Toys in a convertible car seat

How are are you all giving your LOs toys in their convertible car seat?

DD is (finally) interested in toys but there's not handy dandy bar to hang them from now that we've moved her over to the convertible.  I'd like to give her something to play with, especially since she's teething and everything MUST go in her mouth, but she just drops them and I can't pick them up while I'm driving.

Re: Toys in a convertible car seat

  • I bought a bag of Bright Starts- Lots of Links and they're great for this. I'll just hook whatever toy up to a short chain of these and then hook it onto her strap. It's just a bigger version of those pacifier catchers. That way she can shake it and throw it without losing it.

  • Tiny Love Wonder Wheel. E kicks it, and yes she's backwards facing.

  • Mine just likes to chew on the strap and admire himself in the mirror. I hope he remains this easily pleased throughout his childhood and teenage years. It will be easy on my wallet.

I like this idea.  I feel like we've got a bunch of the links around the house and she loves to put the links alone in her mouth, lol.

  • We have a tiny love arch that connect with these little claws that you tighten on the side.  We just have to attach it up higher to find a place on the carseat narrow enough for it to work.  I will just hand him a rattle if we are just going to daycare (around the corner).  He was rattling away this morning and when I arrived I found out he was hitting himself in the head with it.  Red cheek and everything.  Not a genius I tell ya.  Soft toys I guess it is.  Like the links idea too.
