2 month break

I had my measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine yesterday.  It was supposed to be that we couldn't ttc for 28 days, but now it's going to be 2 months.  I'll still be on the bump, but I might not have any interesting posts.  The dr said we have to use condoms!  Great.

 

Me: 27, DH: 28 TTC since 11/09
2/10 & 3/10 Clomid 50mg-BFN
5/10-Lap Surgery for Stage 2 Endo
3/11-IUI#1 with Follistim and Menopur-developed mild OHSS= BFN
6/11-IUI#2 with Follistim -developed moderate OHSS= BFN!
7/11-FSH-11, AMH 1.6
9/11-ttc naturally with positive thoughts :)
10/6/11-POSITIVE pregnancy test!!! 15dpo BETA-220
6/14/2012- Riley Harper arrived!! We love our little girl

    I'm sorry hun. I hope it flies by for you. I wasn't sure if I would be bumping either during my break, but I can't seem to stay away.

    DX: MFI - less than 1 million sperm, 26% motility
    DH put on anastrozole to increase counts
    June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(
    Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
    IVF - January 2012: BFN
    FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
    After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

    The IVF nurse told me yesteray that we're going to have to use condoms from now to ET.  I told DH that, and he got all worked up "why, it's not like I really have any sperm anyway"  He seriously thinks I'm making it up.  Uggh ..

    Ugh. I'm sorry. Try to pack in some fun things that you might not be able to do during treatments!

    Dx: DOR and MFI

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)

    I feel your two month pain!  I am out of the game, like you, for two months also.  Due to cysts.  It is frustrating and I am totally anxious to start back up with my first IUI, but I am trying to stay optomistic by convincing myself that I should make the most of this time for myself and my husband.  I am cooking new recipes, reading a new book, checking out our local farmer's markets, enjoying dinner dates with friends, and taking part in some retail therapy.  Distractions are key, if you have to sit the bench.  Hang in there!  Yes

    I know how frustrating it is to be on a break....I have been taking a break for almost 6 months!  We just now got back to doing treatments.  Take the time to enjoy time with your hubby and take some time for you.  It might make you feel refreshed for what comes next.  Sorry about the condom thing....it really sucks!! :(

    After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption!  We are so excited to see what the future holds.

    I hope this time flies by for you so we can get movin' towards that BFP!!

    TTC since 3/07. IVF#1 = canceled. IVF#2 = 0% fertilization. IVF#3 = BFN. IVF#4 = c/p.

    Oh no! That is seriously so sucky :( I guess you could take this break and enjoy it to the fullest and come back to TTC refreshed! I hope it goes by quickly for ya!

    I'm really sorry you have to use condoms.  That absolutely sucks.  And I'm even sorrier you have to break for two months.  Try to enjoy it and you'll be back at it before you know it!

    Also, my RE called me and said that we don't have to wait 2 months.  He said we have to wait the standard 28 days.  I'm not sure who to believe.  I think I may have to do my own research.

    I am so sorry you have to take a break.  It totally sucks but hopefully the time flies for you.  We are kind of on a forced break as well getting additional tests done and so on so I feel your frustration!
