Bumping from Labor and Delivery!!!

Hi ladies!

I have had quite the exciting day! It started out with me and DH going to our normal 24 week update.

My blood pressure was extremely high so I was sent right down to labor and delivery and have been here since about 11am.

At first they thought it was pre-E, but after observing me today they think it's a chronic hypertension problem, which is more manageable with meds than than pre-E.

I am being observed in a postpartum room over night with constant b/p checks and am doing a 24 urinalysis collection.

My doctor came down to talk with me this evening (after speaking with a high risk OB) and confirmed that I am now high risk, ugh! And I definitely will induced by 39 weeks if I don't go in to labor by myself before then.

Alright, just wanted to update everyone, now it's time for me to get caught up on what went on around here today, DH just brought me my laptop .

Thank you all SOOOOO MUCH! I am trying to keep a positive attitude but it sucks having to be here over night alone. I just have to keep telling myself that it is for the best and most likely I'll be home tomorrow.

How long are you in for?

I had to spend the weekend there after my car accident. Hope your food is better than mine. (seriously lunch one day was meat loaf with corn and peas baked INSIDE)

Even the nurse that brought it in was like "I'm sorry, call your husband and have him bring you food"
