Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Who has made the move to Target brand formula?

We currently use Enfamil but have a good friend who just said she moved to Target brand formula. I compared size and price in there yesterday and its almost HALF the price!!! I am having no problem affording the Enfamil but find it silly to pay double for no reason? Did you make the switch? Any negative effects?

I am going to check with her ped next Fri @ 6m apt but just curious what you guys think!

  • I have always used generic and never had issues.

I've even been able to bounce back and forth between generics (for example, sometimes I get BRU/sometimes I get target) without any issues.

  • I use the Target brand formula. It doesn't bother DD none. We have no problems with it. I use the Sensitive one, but it all has to meet the same standards. The only formula we had a problem with was Enfamil Gentlease. But, anything else, she drinks just fine with no negative effects.

  • We use the Target brand soy formula and love it. Haven't had any problems yet, except that they don't make it in the bigger cans like every other Target brand formula. So that kinda sucks.

  • We switched. Love it! And they compare ingredients right on the container. It's virtually the same and half the price. Win.

  • We use Targets version of Enfamil AR and love it!  It's so much cheaper!  We were buying Enfamil AR online in bulk and getting it for $18 each but I hated spending $140+ at one time.  Targets formula is even cheaper than that, virtually the same, and I can spread out the spending Big Smile

  • We used Similac when DS was first born because the hospital gave us so much.  Once that was gone, we switched the Target's Iron Added formula and have not had any issues.  It's even 10% off this week!

  • We switched and love it. We go through a lot of formula and it has saved us so much!

  • We switched from Similac to the Target version last month with zero effects. I wish we had done it sooner! It took me awhile to convince DH, who was uneasy about it earlier on.

  • We switched about 2 weeks ago and everything's been great. I told DH that with our next baby were using target brand right away. I wish we would have switched sooner.

  • Yup, we use Target (blue can). No problems here. We made the switch from BF around 5.5 months. DS also used Target brand after using Enfamil for a couple of months. No problems either.

  • Just a lurker here but all store brand formulas are the same and made by the same company, called PBM Nutritionals. No, I don't work for them, lol, just a general cheap a$$.

  • We switched from Similac Advance to Target & love it. Almost half the price and I find it doesn't get as frothy when you mix it, which in my thinking means less gas for LO. Win/win for us.

I didn't know they were on sale. I guess I'm going out tomorrow. Smile

  • I did... and we transitioned with no problems around 6 months.

    Definitely worth the savings!
