SSG - do you have this prob w/ Ella's pants?

I ask b/c our girls have very similar measurements :)

I'm having trouble finding any jeans that fit RB.  The issue is that she needs an 18m for her waist, but 2T for length.  Yesterday I put her in a pair of ON 24m jeans with the adjustible waistband pulled all the way...and not only did they fall off her bum all day long, but they were def too short.   Do you have better luck with specific brands or is RB just gonna go through a looong legging and dress phase?  ;)

  • I'm eagerly awaiting a reply... Gwen still fits (waist-wise) in 9m (stretchy) or 12m pants, but they fit her like capris!

  • My child has the stumpiest legs on earth so while the girls are similar height I think Ella my be 3/4 torso.  E has trouble with both the waist and the length.  She is fitting into 18 month pants right now for both waist and length but there is still plenty of room for her waist but I am sure she will outgrow the length this fall.  We put a pair of 24 month pants on her and adjusted to the smallest and they fell off her and had I would say 3-4 inches of flap.  I think it is going to be a tunic and legging kind of year.  She still actually fits into many 12 month pants still.  Good news we can use all her pants from last year bad news I don't get to go shopping.  I have no secret but capri leggings that were 12 months last fall are now finally capris she wore them as full leggings last season.

  • ::butting in::  DD needs 18m length but 12m waist.  I find that ON jeans fits fairly well.  I just picked up a pair of 18m at Target that seems as though they won't sag too badly.

  • Grayson has this issue. We found Gymboree pants were the best - they run small in the waist and were long enough. I am way too cheap to buy Gymboree from the store, but was able to get some at consignment/e-bay/outlets for a decent price. ON and GAP were also good too. We still have to get adjustable waist pants for Gray. :)

I need to learn to read. :) I see you asked about jeans.

I think I need to design and sell long jeans for itty bitty baby waists. It seems like an untapped market.

you should! looks like its a common problem :)

i never seem to have a problem with knit pants, but jeans are tough.  And I can only imagine how much harder its going to be when she's not wearing a diaper to fuff up her bum.

  • Just checked with my preemie peeps since we all pretty much have this problem.  The life saver for many are dappersnappers

Cute idea! Not sure it would work with the potty trained set. :)

  • Ky has the same issue. She needs 18 month length but most 12 month waists are still a tad big. I have found a couple of brands that seem to run a bit longer. I like Children's Place jeans usually. I also have found Koala Kids ( no idea where they come from as 95% of Ky's clothes are second hand) run long also. I cannot even do the skirt/dress and leggings look because 12 month (which fit the waist) look like mini skirts and her butt hangs out the bottom Stick out tongue
