I think it is a bit crazy too. But I think the fruit we get compared to has more to do with the length than the roundness of the fruit. That is just my guess, or the only thing that makes sense to me.
A lot of the fruits don't make sense. They're talking about length, though, so bananas I guess are longer than cantaloupe. I think that's also the week they start measuring head to toe and not head to "rump" as they do earlier... so actually the measurement in inches should show as a lot longer.
I read somewhere that in week 21 the baby was crown to rump a cantaloupe and crown to toes a banana? Most avos here are bigger than onions too so that was a bit weird for me. Either was congrats on being half baked!

This. I thought it was crazy when my frieng got pregnant and we were going over it. We started looking into it more and I guess they are talking more about the length of the fruit.
