Bowie, MD

Hi Girls, this is my first time posting on this board.  DH just accepted a new job that is right near the New Carrollton metro.  We are currently in Alexandria, so we want to move to MD pretty soon.

We are thinking of Bowie, but we don't know the area at all.  Is this a good town, is there something that would be a short commute that is better?  Anything else I might want to know?

    Hello!  I actually live in Bowie.  It's an OK town.  However, if we could do it over again, we'd probably live in Crofton.  The school systems are better and the community has a lot more amenities than Bowie.

    ditto Crofton area and northern Calvert is also nice from Huntingtown north.

    Yeah, if commute for your job isn't an issue, I would look in Anne Arundel county.

    ditto Anne Arundel County. Annapolis, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Severna Park, Arnold are all nice places. Let me know if you need any recs.
