Could spotting be a good sign?

My hubby and I JUST started trying to conceive - as in last week.  I am already spotting just 3 days later (never spotted in my life) and had some cramps last night even though I'm not expecting my period for another 10 days.  I read online that this could be implantation bleeding and the earliest sign of pregnancy. 

 Anyone experience this and then later take a positive pregnancy test? It's obviously way too early to test myself....but I am just SO CURIOUS!!!

    No it would be too early for implantation spotting.  That would occur between 6-12dpo (more likely 7-10dpo) and it is quite rare.

    It is probably just mid-cycle spotting.  My guess is you might be ovulating now.  Have you recently come off of hormonal BC?

    It is hard to know what the spotting means.  Do you chart, where are you in your cylce?  If you don't chart, I would recommend it.  You can sign up for Fertility Friend through any ticker, it's free.  All you need is a BBT (a basal body temp thermometer).  I would also suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.  It really helps you understand what is going on with your body.  Good luck to you.

    I agree with PP, spotting can happen during a cycle and it's normal.  Implantation spotting doesn't happen often so I wouldn't be sure it is that.  I also recommend tracking your BBT if you don't already.
