New mom to be(diaper clothes or disposable diaper)

Hi everyone,

i'm a new mom to be and Im still not sure what to use if diaper clothes or disposable diapers.I know the question might be silly but Im asking due to the humidity and the heat that we have here in Florida. Please any suggestions.

  • Do you mean cloth diapers vs. disposable diapers?

  • honestly cloth would be better for humidity since they breath a ton more than paper/disposable diapers and have less chemicals. But then again I'm partial. I just know that my daughter gets a rash in paper at day care in the heat but never does in cloth at home.

  • Eww. Don't do garbage diapers. Go with cloth. Much better in so many aspects. We've had our baby in cloth since the minute she was born. They're awesome.

  • No problems at all with cloth diapers in FL.

My daughter never gets rashy in cloth but gets a heat rash any time she wears a disposable in the summer.

I suggest Bumgenius 4.0 pocket diapers with velcro.

  • My kid gets red and looks hot in cloth (BG 3.0s) when the temps are over 70-75 here, but never has an issue with disposables.  However, he also has no issues with prefolds and wool covers, no matter how hot it gets, so those are our go-to summer diapers.
  • I'm in FL and have no problems with cding :)

  • I live in AZ and we used cloth on our son during the fall winter and spring but during this summer we had to switch to disposable. It was so hot and he was getting these really bad rashes in the cloth. He has been rash free in the disposable. But we will switch back to cloth when they temp goes down.
