recommend your favorite 12 month toy for 1st birthday

My little guy is 14 months and I need to get a first birthday gift for my friend's son. Budget is $25. Any favorite gifts? I have so many that I cant narrow it down to make a decision that I need recs from other mom's.

    I agree with Daisy.  Also, Hi Daisy!!  *waves*

     

    Our best toys that we got were Haba blocks (but probably out of that range).  They love their Little People things, and farm animal toys, too.

    B. Toys Sugar Chute. Target has it. Super cute toy, my son got it for his first birthday and plays with it every day.

    DS got a "LeapFrog Letter Discoveries" toy and he still plays with it.  It says ages 2-4 years but he loved it right away, and I'm not sure if it is because of that toy he knows his entire alphabet now (names the letters when he sees them, not the song)

    The fisher price little vacuum that they walk around and push. DS is 19 mo and still obsessed with it.

    DD's favorite toy was the Scout Leap Frog Cell Phone. She LOVES that thing! Also the Little People stuff, any and all of it.
