gogo Kidz Travelmate

Anybody have one of these?  pros/cons?  Also what convertible carseat do you use with this one.   I would like to get a new carseat that is (obviously compatible w/ this product) but super easy to install....currently have the Marathon 70 and we find it a pain to install.

TIA

Re: gogo Kidz Travelmate

  • I loooooove ours. It makes it super easy to get around the airport when I'm traveling with the car seat and also to generally take our seat anywhere when we have to take a cab.

There are no cons, IMO. We've had it for over 2 years and it has traveled a lot with us.

We have a Britax Marathon, but I've also used it with my parents' Cosco Scenera even though that one is not on the list of compatible seats (according to the gogoKidz manufacturer).

  • Thanks for the info!  I was looking at the Cosco Scenara and then saw it wasn't on there, but good to know it does work.  How easy is the Cosco Scenara to install into vehicles?

    thx!

  • We have one too and so far it has been on two trips. We have the Britax roundabout 55. Since we were gate checking the car seat and I didn't want to damage the seat I got one of those red bags. It tore on the second leg (duct tape took care of it) but you had to take the wheels of in order to make it fit and that was a pain. So this last trip I just double bagged (with those plastic bags from the airline) the car seat and then attached it to the gogo kidz and that worked well. I don't actually put DD in it while we run around the airport and use it for my carry-on bag instead and carry DD in my Ergo. It makes it very easy to get around and since we fly a lot it was definitely worth the money.

  • I highly recomend this. It's way cheaper than the travelmate and works great! We used our Cosco scenera and attached it to our rolling suitcase and it worked great.

That only works if you take a rolling suitcase as carry-on all the time, which for us is never so it wouldn't work for us, but if you always do that it would certainly work
