Dumb WWYD: consignment sales vs. garage sales tomorrow

Consignment #1: large sale, opens at 730am. $2 entry for the first hour. put on a local MOMs group, apparently a good sale.Consignment #2: smaller sale, opens at 8am, they only let 100 people in at a time. runs until 1030am, then they close for 1.5 hours and reopen w/ the 50% off sale. about 5 minutes from #1.Garage Sale: 36 families, about half with infant/baby items. 25ish minutes from Consignments #1 and #2, starts at 8am. In what order would you go to these? I wouldn't be heartbroken if I didn't get to CS#2, but I'd like to get to all 3. I'm thinking garage sale first since the prices are typically a little cheaper, then get to #1 and #2. The only problem is... in my experience, most garage sales don't start on time Sad

  • I would hit the garage sales. I would consider consignment prices expensive compared to garage sale pricing. Get out super early and be one of those annoying early birds:)

Then hit consignment sale #1, go home take a nap & go back for 50% at the other sale.

    Have fun!

I agree with Becki. I think #2 is worthing waiting till the 50% off sale cuz you can still get some great deals and u can get more for your money...50% off sales are particularly good for clothing in my opinion.

How was the CMOM sale?  I wanted to check it out but it was the same day as the TMOTT sale (Raleigh) so I went to that one instead.
Eh, not impressed. I didn't get there until 11am though. Jennandtonica said she got there at about 9 and it was already pretty picked over.

I bought $10 worth of clothing, didn't bother to sit around for the 1/2 price sale. I was hoping to find some crib sheets, breathable bumper and some toys, but I struck out on all of that. The neighborhood yard sale and the UMUC consignment sale were much, much better, I'm glad I went to those first!

I got to the CMOM sale around 9ish and didn't buy anything.  There were tons of people with piles and piles of stuff but I guess I missed out.

From miscarriages, a diagnosis of a bicornuate uterus, and fibroid removal surgery...It's been quite the journey but it was all well worth it. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
